Intervención de Estados Unidos en Primera Guerra Mundial US intervention in World War I

Dos eventos provocan la entrada de Estados Unidos:

1. El hundimiento del crucero Lusitania
2. El telegrama Zimmerman donde Alemania le pide a México que se una a cambio de devolverle los territorios que le había quitado Estados Unidos.

La entrada inclinó la balanza a favor de los aliados y Alemania pidió el alto al fuego el 11 de noviembre de 1918.

El tratado de Versalles establece las condiciones para poner fin a la guerra. Alemania es penalizada económicamente y recibe ajustes que luego provocaron el inicio de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.

Two events provoke the entrance of the United States:

1. The sinking of the Lusitania cruiser
2. The Zimmerman telegram where Germany asks Mexico to join in exchange for returning the territories that had been taken from the United States.

The entrance tipped the balance in favor of the allies and Germany requested the cease fire 11 of November of 1918.

The treaty of Versailles sets the conditions for ending the war. Germany is penalized financially and receives adjustments that soon provoked the beginning of World War II.
